Close to the heart of Murrells Inlet, Oak & Egret is a beautifully appointed raised beach home offering peaceful marsh views, generous outdoor living spaces, and a unique layout that gives families and groups the perfect balance of gathering space and privacy.

The Home:
IMPORTANT LAYOUT NOTE: The upstairs and downstairs living areas are completely separate and are not connected from inside the home. Guests must use the outdoor staircase to move between the two levels. Please make sure everyone in your group is comfortable with this arrangement before booking.

Upstairs:
The main living area is located upstairs and features an open kitchen, dining room, and living room designed for gathering together.

The upstairs level includes:
• Primary suite with king bed and private full bathroom with a walk-in shower featuring marble and porcelain tile
• Private queen bedroom
• Second full bathroom located off the hallway
• Fully equipped main kitchen
• Open living and dining area
• Large laundry room
• Deck overlooking the tidal creek and marsh

Downstairs:
The lower level is a separate private suite with its own exterior entrance. There is no interior staircase or doorway connecting it to the upstairs portion of the home.

The downstairs suite features a king bed, full bathroom with a travertine-tiled walk-in shower, kitchenette, lounge area, and twin pull-out bed.

This unique setup works especially well for couples traveling together, families with older children, or multigenerational groups who want to vacation together while still having a little privacy at the end of the day.

Outdoor Living:
The outdoor spaces are one of the highlights of Oak & Egret. Start your morning with coffee overlooking the creek, spend the afternoon exploring Murrells Inlet, and return home for cocktails beneath the live oaks as the sun settles over the marsh.

Guests can enjoy a covered outdoor bar, spacious outdoor dining area, comfortable sectional seating, two gas fire pit tables, a wood-burning fireplace, a pellet smoker, and two propane grills.

Firewood may be available during your stay and you are welcome to use what is provided. If you use the available firewood, we kindly ask that you replace what you use for the next guests.

Please help us protect the outdoor furniture by placing the provided covers over the outdoor sectional when rain is expected.

Life on the Marsh:
Oak & Egret sits directly along a tidal creek, which means the view naturally changes throughout the day. At high tide, the creek fills with water. At low tide, oyster beds and mudflats appear, attracting egrets and other marsh birds. Watching the marsh change with the tides is part of what makes this property so special.

Spend the day on the water, head to the beach, browse local shops, or visit the nearby Murrells Inlet Marsh Walk for waterfront dining and live music.

Then come home, settle in by the fire, and enjoy the quiet side of Murrells Inlet.

Important Things to Know Before Booking:

Separate Levels: The upstairs and downstairs portions of the home DO NOT connect from inside. Access between the two levels is by an outdoor staircase only.

Parking: Parking is limited to a maximum of 3 vehicles.

Security Cameras: For the safety and security of the property, exterior cameras are located at the front entrance. There is also an exterior camera positioned at the outdoor bar area that is used to monitor the tidal creek and changing tides. Cameras are located outdoors only and are not located in any interior or private areas.

Wildlife: This is a true marsh front property. While sightings are uncommon, native wildlife may occasionally be present, including alligators and snakes. Guests should use appropriate caution around the creek, dock, marsh, and surrounding outdoor areas. Children should be closely supervised near the water at all times.

No Smoking or Vaping: Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited anywhere on the property.

No Pets: Pets are not permitted.

Evidence of smoking, vaping, or unauthorized pets will result in an additional charge of at least $250, with additional charges possible if extra cleaning or damage occurs.

Oak & Egret is a peaceful private retreat, and we ask guests to treat the home, outdoor spaces, marsh, and surrounding neighborhood with care.

This property is within walking distance of the famous Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, where you can enjoy a beautiful waterfront boardwalk overlooking the marsh, along with an incredible selection of local restaurants, shops, live music, and entertainment.

To help keep Oak & Egret a peaceful and well-cared-for retreat, smoking, pets, parties, and events are not permitted anywhere on the property.

Families are welcome; however, please be aware that Oak & Egret may not be suitable for young children. The outdoor decking and marshfront areas are not fully fenced or separated from the inlet water, so close supervision is required.
